Proposal 

 

My general plan for Project 3 is to incorporate the Titanic tragedy into a short story flash fiction series. I plan to create ten different, unique stories that all reveal factual based information about the Titanic through a fictional victim on or off the ship. My piece of fiction will be fully text-based from beginning to end. My text-based short stories will be focusing on a narrative genre but will incorporate aspects of the informative genre. The factual based information incorporated throughout my fictional story will overall give my flash fiction series a hybrid genre. Through reviewing my previously researched peer reviewed sources, books, media and online research, I will be able to convey the true atmosphere surrounding the Titanic tragedy. Along with conducting additional research, I plan on completely re-watching Titanic in order to apply some of the historically accurate information into my narrative. As for my two forms of advertisement, I plan on creating one brief digital flyer to promote my piece of fiction as well as a unique photo captivating the focus of the narrative designed to grab the viewer’s attention on social media. By taking a professional, yet eye-catching approach to my advertisements, I hope to reach all kinds of viewers on the major social media platforms. For this project, I plan on creating an Instagram Page, Twitter Page and Facebook Page. I feel that these three forms of social media reach the widest audience and will successfully promote my narrative. In order to complete this project to the best of my ability, I will have to take more time out of my typical schedule in order to promote and deliver my narrative to all forms of audiences on social media. By aiming to share information and advertising my narrative at least once a day, audiences will be better exposed to my narrative. Social media has made reaching a wide audience easier and will successfully equip me to achieving the project 3 goal.
